Corbin Design assisted with the wayfinding system design in 2011 and 2012 for Indiana University – Purdue University Fort Wayne. Once the campus split, Purdue University sought to simplify the wayfinding to feature only the Purdue brand and it was natural that we assisted with the project. Since the installed signage was only five years old when the rebrand occurred, the Corbin team adapted the Purdue brand to retrofit the existing exterior and interior signs. A new feature of this project was to design new gateway monument signs to welcome students and visitors to the campus. We collaborated with Purdue University's marketing team and Poblocki Signs on the project to achieve the goals of a cohesive look with the larger brand and quick changeover on the physical signs on campus. By keeping the current wayfinding logic and sign locations this brand update was executed swiftly with a timeless look that complements campus and easy to navigate wayfinding.
